Sure, ASU finished with a 5-7 record last season, but with the baseball team in town not doing much to peak interest, many Valley sports fans are turning their att….wait a minute! Did that first sentence say Idaho State?
The Sun Devils are one of only four Pac-10 teams that have scheduled a game against an FCS (Division I-AA) opponent in 2009. And yes, that opponent is Idaho State, the doormat of the Big Sky Conference. The Bengals went 1-11 last season, and snapped a 15-game losing streak in their final game, a 36-33 win over Sacramento State. They are once again picked to finish last in their conference in 2009. But don’t blame ASU for putting Idaho State on their schedule. The game represents what should be a glorified tune up for the Devils, and a nice payday for the Bengals.
